Mass Effect 2 Guide Geek
Mass Effect 2 is a science-fiction role-playing action game developed by BioWare for the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3. It is the sequel to Mass Effect and the second game in the Mass Effect trilogy. Now, Geekscene will talk about: Prologue, Awakening, Freedom's Progress. .
Prologue
A member of the crew, either Kaidan Alenko, Ashley Williams or Liara T'Soni (based upon Shepard's romance choices from an imported character or the gender of a new character), informs Commander Shepard that the ship's pilot, Joker, is reluctant to leave. After convincing Kaidan/Ashley/Liara to abandon ship, Shepard must convince Joker to leave as well.
Shepard should walk forward to the cockpit, passing through a kinetic airlock where Joker can be found. A dialogue scene will ensue, with Shepard either politely or aggressively convincing Joker that the Normandy is lost and must be abandoned. Before Shepard can enter the pod, however, an energy beam causes an explosion that separates Shepard from Joker, forcing Shepard to eject the pod with only Joker inside.
Awakening
Eventually Shepard encounters Jacob Taylor. After clearing the room and further dialogue with Jacob, both he and Shepard will continue through the facility until meeting Miranda's assistant, Wilson, who is injured. Miranda deals with Wilson, and takes Shepard and Jacob to a Cerberus space station to meet the Illusive Man.
At the space station, Shepard can engage in dialogue with the Illusive Man, who explains why he revived Shepard, and asks for Shepard's help in investigating attacks on human colonies. Shepard can also change/modify his armor at the station, and engage in additional dialogue with Miranda and Jacob.
Freedom's Progress
After speaking with the Illusive Man, Shepard agrees to investigate Freedom's Progress, the most recent colony to disappear. On arrival, proceed into the large hangar, killing any LOKI mechs and FENRIS mechs that you encounter. Here, the mixed group of Assault Drones and Rocket Drones will attack your team. Miranda's Overload ability can damage the drones; the team should stay behind cover to avoid the enemy rockets. A cut-scene shows the YMIR Mech taking out the entire quarian team. The YMIR advances on your position and may flank you if caught off guard.
Finish the mission by finding Veetor, who is babbling incoherently and watching garbled footage on a wall of display screens. Shepard will have a Paragon interrupt option, followed by a Renegade interrupt to get Veetor's attention. Miranda suggests that Veetor be taken into Cerberus custody for interrogation, but Tali insists he be taken back to the Flotilla for medical attention, although she will allow Shepard to take Veetor's data.
